Diandra Paramitha or Dian Sastrowardoyo born in Jakarta on March 16, 1982 from the couple Ariawan Rusdianto Setyorini Sastrowardoyo and goddess Parvati. Known as a talented actress full totality. Her hobbies are reading, watching and everything related to art.
She attended Junior High School at the SMP Vincentious Otista Jakarta and high school at the SMA Tarakanita 1. Dian furthered her studies at the University of Indonesia where she had studied in Faculty of Law for a brief period of time before moving to the Faculty of Literature, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and eventually graduated in July 2007.
She did her post graduate degree at the School of Economics in the same institution, where she studied Finance Management as her major and got a Master of Management degree. She graduated cum laude in August 2014.
She began her career in 1996 as the cover girl of
Gadis, a popular teen magazine in Indonesia. She starred as Daya in Pasir Berbisik, which was her first movie, a critic favourite and won her many film awards for her role. She rose to prominence with her starring role as Cinta, in the cult classic romance movie
Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? which was a box office not only in Indonesia, but also in Malaysia a year later in January 2003.
Dian is the brand ambassador of L'Oreal Paris Since 2010. On 2012, she attended the Festival De Cannes in Paris. There, she met with Robert Pattinson, the Twilight actor and she took a picture with him.
In 2016, she reprised her role as the titular character in Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? 2, the sequel to
Ada Apa dengan Cinta?.
Dian Sastrowardoyo married businessman Indraguna Sutowo, on 18 May 2010. They have two children: Shailendra Naryama Sastraguna Sutowo (born 17 July 2011) and Isshana Ariandra Nariratana Sutowo (born 7 June 2013)
When she was 10 years old, she was challenged by her mother to make Repelita (Rencana Pembangunan Lima Tahun) or her plans to achieve her goals. Her mother told her that their family is not rich, so if she wants to be success she must work harder. Being a Gadis Sampul when she was at 14 was her target. She really worked harder to make her win at Gadis Sampul with joining poem contest up to Pencak Silat contest. Her worked wasn't in vain, it proved with her successful at Gadis Sampul.
